First exciting thing on the radar, we were awarded Best Website, Outstanding Publication, AND Outstanding Media/Publication by Student Organization & Advisors Recognition Ceremony on Sunday! This is such a great accomplishment for all of us working at this magazine. We have come such a long way from three years ago and it’s only going to get better! Editor in chief Lauren Pax holds the three awards above, we couldn’t have done it without her commitment and creative power.
Second update (yes there are more). We officially, have a new editor and chief for next year taking over. Jen Heuerman will be heading Up Magazine next school year, and we are too excited to show you what we have in store. Jen is going to be an amazing EIC, and has some great updates and ideas for the magazine as a whole.
Last update!!!! COMPLETELY new blog style. We now will have the same category for each day, (i.e every Monday will be Up & Coming which will be new trends in fashion and style) and so forth. So now you can check back on Tuesdays and get some great advice on eating, working out, and cooking with the Up Keep section, and every Saturday get some great style advice and a going out look from Uptown and Downtown!
And….street style is BACK! Everyday starting next school year, we will be having street style everyday. On Sundays our editor’s will pick the best dressed from the week! So make sure to strut around campus because we will be looking for Miami’s best dressed to feature on our blog. Maybe you will even win something ; )
We had such a great year readers. Just because our last issue is out, doesn’t mean were done! The blog will be pumping out stories for you allllll summaa long.
