Yo I’ll tell you what I want, what I really really want…I really really really wanna see the Spice Girls on Broadway! So, here’s the story from A-Z: the 90’s pop icons are going to have a play based on their friendship and smashing success.
Who better to create the musical then Judy Cramer, responsible for Mamma Mia’s success! Judy Craymer, has partnered with the unforgettable girl group, Universal Music, and XIX, Simon Fuller’s new company. Judy has said about the show’s presentation, “It is important to me that the excitement, style and humor of the Spice Girls is well represented on stage.” The show, called Viva Forever, will kick off in the UK on December 11th at West End’s Piccadilly Theatre (maybe I should alter my study abroad plans?).
Without spoiling too much, Viva Forever will tell the story of a mother and daughter (with a television talent show as a backdrop) and fans can expect the production to feature 16 of their biggest hits such as “Wannabe,” “The Lady is a Vamp,” “Mamma,” and more! “Say You’ll Be There?”
