While summer is winding down (against our will) and school is beginning to surface our radars, that doesn’t mean the fun and games have to end.
Turntable, a new app and virtual DJ site that I recently discovered, is a way to keep UP the mentality of summer consistent of “hangin’ with friends” and not to mention it is a phenomenal example of social media integration. You could be a punk rock fan or even a classical music lover, this site/app enables you to connect with and DJ at a table with people who have similar music tastes.
Turntable has been described by Wire Magazine as, “the most talked-about development in digital music”, which is understandable considering it makes music a complete and total social experience. Other cool features the app allows you is to create and join listening rooms, be a virtual DJ, and chat in “rooms” with the other DJ’s at the table. Think you have what it takes to dominate the tables? Sign up and heat up the “room” with your own playlists (Oxford DJ’s should be wary): http://turntable.fm/
